What Work Should AI Handle Instead of You?

Answer Box: Most founders waste time on repetitive tasks that AI can handle in minutes. This is one of the later questions in the RPG Founder Framework - it helps you identify the specific work that belongs to AI, so you can get your time back and focus on the things that actually require you.
You're doing work that doesn't need you.
Not because you're bad at it. Because it's repetitive, predictable, and exactly the kind of task that AI handles well.
This question in the RPG Founder Framework is where you figure out what that work is and stop doing it yourself.

Why This Is the Last Step, Not the First
A lot of founders want to start here. AI is exciting. The tools are genuinely good. It feels like the fastest path to getting time back.
But AI works best when the business underneath it is clear.
If you don't know your offer, your customer, your revenue drivers, or your systems, AI will just help you produce more noise faster. It'll generate content for the wrong audience, draft emails with the wrong message, and automate processes that shouldn't exist in the first place.
This question comes later in the RPG Founder Framework because it assumes you've worked through the foundational questions first. The clearer your business is, the more useful AI becomes.
What AI Is Actually Good At
Repetitive writing tasks
Drafting first versions of emails, proposals, social posts, follow-ups, and FAQs. You still review and edit. But you're not starting from a blank page every time.
Research and summarizing
Pulling together information, summarizing documents, and comparing options. Tasks that used to take an hour can take five minutes with the right prompt and the right context.
Answering common questions
If you answer the same customer questions repeatedly, that's an AI task. A well-built knowledge base fed into a ChatGPT framework can handle most of those without you.
Organizing and structuring
Meeting notes, project plans, outlines, and content calendars. AI doesn't replace your thinking. It organizes it faster than you can type.
First drafts of anything
Proposals, job descriptions, onboarding documents, standard operating procedures. The first draft is always the hardest. AI removes that friction.
What AI Isn't Good At
Relationship. Judgment. Context that lives only in your head.
The call where you read the room and change direction. The client's situation that needs a human who knows the history. The strategic decision that requires weighing things AI can't weigh.
AI handles the repetitive. You handle the irreplaceable.
How to Find Your AI Tasks
What do you repeat every week?
Make a list. Every task you do more than twice a week that follows a pattern is a candidate. Drafting, responding, organizing, scheduling, researching.
What takes you longer than it should?
The things you procrastinate on are often the things AI can unblock. If writing social posts takes you two hours and you hate it, that's an AI task.
What do you explain to people over and over?
Onboarding, FAQs, common objections, instructions. All of that can be turned into AI-assisted responses with the right setup.
The Knowledge Base Is What Makes It Work
Here's the part most founders miss.
Generic AI prompts give you generic output. The reason RPG builds knowledge bases before anything else is because AI gets dramatically more useful when it actually knows your business. Your voice, your offers, your customers, your processes.
When the knowledge base is in place, AI stops sounding like a robot that's never met you and starts sounding like someone who actually works inside your business.
That's the difference between collecting prompts and building a system.
What Comes Next
This is one of the later questions in the RPG Founder Framework. But reaching it isn't the end of the work. The framework isn't a staircase you climb once. It's a set of questions you return to as the business grows and changes.
